Nick served in the Grenadier Guards and worked as a journalist and literary critic for the Financial Times, before writing full-time. His first novel Where were you at Waterloo? is in places as sharp as Waugh and sometimes better – quotes The TLS. His second, Tennis and the Masai, considered the funniest book of the year by the Daily Telegraph and serialised on BBC Radio 4.
