5th July 2011 – Broo Doherty

Broo is one half of Wade and Doherty Literary Agency. She has worked in publishing for twenty years and handles all genres, but is particularly interested in crime, cookery and women's fiction.

7th June 2011 – Alec Rainey

Since retiring from his life on the range, Alec has turned his hand to writing at his home in Cambridge. His latest book is called A Way of Life and recalls his training in cattle management with the Argentinian gauchos and working as a jackeroo on a cattle station in Australia.

4th October 2010 – John Phelps

John has written about property and travel for more than 25 years in several national newspapers. Since his retirement he has worked as writer, interviewer and presenter at a community radio station. He will talk about his first novel ‘Agent from Hell’ which he has self-published.

5th May 2004 – Routes to Publishing: Taking the right route with advice from agents and publishers

Cambridge Writers member Siobhán Carew will present the different routes of publishing: traditional, partnership, contract and self-publishing. The talk will include advice and opinions from literary agents, and publishers in each field, including self-published author
